TransitRadar is run by one developer in the UK. Email is the only channel, and it is read by a person.
Reporting something wrong
This is the most useful thing you can send. The site processes several live feeds and mistakes in that processing are usually reproducible once someone knows where to look — but "the times were wrong" is very hard to act on, and a specific example is easy. Where you can, please include:
- The page you were on, and the link if you still have it.
- The service, station or stop involved — a headcode, planning ID, station name or ATCO code all help.
- Roughly what time you saw it, including the date.
- What the site showed, and what you expected instead.
A screenshot is worth a lot. If the problem was a train in the wrong place on the map, the map link from your address bar captures the exact view.
Before reporting a data problem: a good deal of what looks like a bug is the underlying feed rather than this site — an operator publishing a bad position, or a signalling area that simply is not described. The FAQ covers the common cases, and how it works explains where the known limits are. Still worth telling us either way; it is useful to know what people notice.
Using the data or the API
The same JSON API the site runs on is open — routing, live maps, boards, journey planning and buses — and a free key takes a moment. Questions about endpoints, limits or what a field means are welcome.
If you want the underlying feeds rather than our API, go straight to the publishers; they are free to register for and are listed on the data sources page. That is almost always the better route for anything serious, and it avoids depending on us.
Privacy requests
To have an API key revoked, or the email address attached to it deleted, email the address above from that address and it will be dealt with. The privacy policy sets out what is stored, which is very little.
Press, data and licensing
Happy to answer questions about how the punctuality figures are derived, or to explain the method behind anything published here. All of it is documented on how it works — the bus punctuality method in particular is ours rather than an industry standard, and is written up in full there.
What this address is not for
We cannot help with tickets, refunds, delay repay, lost property or complaints about a journey. TransitRadar is not an operator and has no access to any booking or compensation system — those all have to go to the company you travelled with. Live disruption information is on the map, but for advice during disruption the operator's own app is the place to look.
